This classy Stalin’s Empire style building hosts the oldest Tallinn cinema, where modern refurbishment was done by Markku Pätilä, designer of many Aki Kaurismäki’s films. Here you may get see diverse public, modern Estonian and world art-house movies, oldies retrospectives in original language with estonian subtitles, but also some occasional music perfomances, stand up shows, lectures, parties and even live football match screenings. Last but not least, there’s a bar in the screening room with smoking area, no disturbing commercials, no pretension, no pop corn.
